As an empty nester in 1992 (her fourth child had left for college) Sherrill needed something to keep her busy. She began classes at Edgerton’s Travel Academy.  After completion, she was hired as an agent in the South Bend office.  She learned a lot about the business in the next six years.

When her husband retired from his career in 1997, she planned to keep on working, but in 1998, decided she needed to spend more time with him.  She officially retired, but told Mr. Edgerton if he needed her to escort tours, please call.  He did and she has been managing tours since 1998 and “loves it!”
